ART BY LINDA SCHULMAN ON DISPLAY - through Wednesday, April 30
Visit the library community room through April 30 and enjoy an exhibit of artwork by Linda Schulman, a local mixed media artist who uses organic design, vibrant color, and unusual textures to create beautiful images through a process of layers and collage. She paints collage papers individually and puts them together to create one large, cohesive piece. Each piece is unique and embellished with drips, splashes, and subtle transparent layers to create depth and amazing detail. Many pieces are mounted on wooden panels, which are then glazed with a glass-like epoxy resin coat, creating a brilliant finish with a magnificent shine.
Linda’s inspiration comes from the world around her, especially nature, with a focus on pattern and texture. Her intuitive painting style is continually evolving as she experiments with new media to expand her artistic creativity. Her work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions, art galleries, and juried art shows and have found their way into many private homes. Linda, winner of the Best in Mixed Media award at the Gaelen Juried Art Show, also teaches some of her creative techniques at the Morris County Art Association. Her classes/workshops include expressive painting, intuitive painting, alcohol ink painting, and card making
Her artwork is currently displayed and sold at Evalyn Dunn Gallery (Westfield, NJ), CBL Fine Art (West Orange, NJ), as well as in various shows and exhibits throughout the year.
